Screen Service America announces a new Program to support LPTV broadcasters to switch-off from Analog to Digital TV.
Miami, FL October 2011 – Screen Service America is promoting the program called “You Digital with us” in order to help operators of analog low-power television stations and television translators around US to switch-off their TV signal to ATSC digital broadcast following the “Low Power TV and Translator Upgrade grant program” powered by National Telecommunication Information Administration (NTIA).
In 2008, the US Congress set aside $44M to reimburse eligible TV Translator ad LPTV operators in rural areas for the direct costs of equipment to upgrade their facilities from analog to digital.
Starting from October 7th, Screen Service America will offer customers the opportunity to upgrade their contents to digital transmission at no cost to them. Broadcasters will be guided throughout the process, from filing the application with the NTIA until the final reimbursement.
