Press Release ARK-1 ATSC ECHO
ARK-ECHO completes the Digital Coverage for ATSC and ATSC/MH Screen Service America and RRD USA present the flexible ARK-1 ATSC ECHO, a
newly enriched Digital Repeater On Channel with Echo cancellation.
New York, NY December 2010 – ARK-ECHO the ATSC/ATSC-MH on channel repeater with echo cancellation is the newest innovation in broadcasting from Screen Service, an international leader in the development of products for the broadcasting industry.
The revolutionary design is a digital on channel repeater that serves in the capacity of gap filler in areas that do not receive signal due to natural or artificial obstacles, with echo cancelation to ensure optimal signal.
The ARK-ECHO features an agile UHF output up-converter, input digital signal monitoring, and amplitude and phase modulation pre-correction calibrated on channel with power ranges for digital signal with manual modeling of the curves on Java GUI. ARK-1 ATSC/ATSC-MH is a cost effective solution that fills gaps and transmits on the same RF signal.
ARK-ECHO is designed to serve audiences in difficult topographies and extends the coverage thanks to the low signal-to-noise ratio provided. The compact size design of ARK-ECHO is a critical element for digital repeaters on channel because there is limited space available in most locations that they are necessary. ARK-ECHO is available in 1RU up to 20W rms and 2RU up to 100W rms.
ARK-ECHO provides a complete digital coverage solution with echo cancelation to make sure the area is not receiving dual signals by canceling system feedback between the transmit and receive antennas. The innovative software defined technology with features provides useful tools to manage your Single Frequency Network.
ARK-ECHO is a cutting-edge product completely designed and developed by Screen Service in answer to market needs.
“By adding the ARK-ECHO to our line of ATSC and ATSC-MH products, we complete our range of solutions and enable broadcasters to have full coverage in all situations, such as indoor penetration for their Mobile DTV service - said Graziano Casale, Director of Sales for American operations “a single high power transmitter cannot offer enough coverage for the entire area for local Mobile DTV, and with the ARK-ECHO, complete coverage is now possible, which we know is a key element of success for Mobile DTV.”
